Shada Seed & Ag Services is not just about selling quality REA Hybrids and Latham Hi Tech seed. We also pride ourselves on building strong relationships with local farmers and growers. We strive to make farming more convenient for growers during an already stressful growing season. Whether is be treating and inoculating seed, filling customer's seed tenders in our 60x128 shed, delivering seed and/or liquid fertilizer straight to your planter in the field, help putting the crop in, taking the crop off and everything in between. We are available to you, the customer, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Unlike most seed dealers, we also farm, so we understand what happens in the field on a daily basis.

A 2003 graduate of Pelican Rapids High School, I grew up on a dairy farm Northwest of Pelican Rapids with my twin sister Sarah. I was involved in the National Honor Society, was voted ‘most likely to farm’ (took over the families dairy operation in 2002 during my senior year of high school) and also played basketball. I was named All-Conference my senior year and the team made it to state that same year (FUN FACT: it must run in the family, as my dad, Peter, was also All-Conference and went to state tournament as a senior).
After high school, I attended Minnesota State University - Moorhead and graduated with a BS in Accounting. Following graduation, I worked 11 years as an accountant for Cargill in the cities, Eide Bailey in Fargo, and Butler Machinery Company in Fargo, all while continuing to farm on the side. My time at Eide Bailey as an auditor was instrumental in building my knowledge and connections to the farming communities. I worked with many well kown ag businesses in the Red River Valley from Wahpeton to Grand Forks. I always knew I was a numbers guy (hello, accountant!) but farming is and always will be in my blood; hence, Shada Seed was started in 2015 from nothing and I am proud of the growth and positive response it has received from customers and farmers around. I am a firm believer that is in large part to the culture we created at Shada Seed - you should treat others how you would want to and ALWAYS be honest and upfront with people.
In the fall of 2018, I married my lovely wife, Amber, and together we have two children, a son Charlie and daughter Ellie. (FUN FACT: Ambers father was the Principal at Moorhead High. He also was an All-American running back for Moorhead State - the other All-American running back in DII that year was a guy by the name of Walter Payton - Da Bears!). When not working, I enjoy time with family, watching sports and supporting local community events.
